Si arriva a Salina pensando di andare in vacanza, ci si accorgerà presto che invece è una esperienza che lascia il segno. Il mediterraneo ha un'infinità di posti meravigliosi ma quì l'atmosfera omerica, mitica, vulcanica e storica si respira con l'aria e ci pervade nell'intimo. La sicilianità delle persone si ritrova nella cordialità e nell'ospitalità che è sacra. L'architettura specifica e unica è una delle caratteristiche principali dell'isola insieme alle eccelse visioni di continui panorami sempre diversi che riposano lo sguardo; i profumi intensi e i silenzi danno spazio al respiro dell’anima. L' albergo Mamma Santina a gestione familiare, nasce da tutto questo, aggiungendovi quei servizi che danno complemento ai piaceri anche del corpo: la cucina che è la stessa che ci hanno insegnato le nonne, la frescura dell'aria condizionata per le famose nottate dello scirocco quando dovesse capitare, la possibilità di una intinta nella piscina nel giardino di limoni.

Dispone di camere con bagno, alcune delle quali con vasca idromassaggio, tutte con terrazzo o balcone con vista su Panarea e Stromboli e con telefono, tv satellite, aria condizionata regolabile, frigobar, postazione internet, possibilità di accesso internet dalle camere, bar, ristorante, piscina con zona idromassaggio. La cucina è la stessa che le nostre nonne ci hanno trasmesso: presso il ristorante potrete gustare piatti tipici della cucina eoliana, arricchiti con aromi dei nostri giardini e accompaganti dal vino dolce di Salina, la 'Malvasia'. Nel 1978 Mamma Santina nasce come ristorante e solo alcuni anni dopo diventa anche un albergo. La nostra cucina ha un'esperienza trentennale. Il bar di Mamma Santina, aperto dalle prime ore del mattino fino a tarda sera, è in grado di soddisfare ogni vostra esigenza. Espresso, cappuccino ed una abbondante colazione per dare inizio alla giornata. Limoncello, malvasia e grappa di malvasia sono ottimi per intrattenersi con gli amici e famiglia o leggere un buon libro. I clienti possono anche servirsi di libri e di alcuni giochi messi a disposizione dall'Hotel, oltre ad usare il computer per connettersi attraverso internet con tutto il mondo.

A trip around the island on our caique brings you to places that are otherwise inaccessible on foot: grottos, small lagoons and remote beaches. Excursions to other islands, which each have a special charm of their own, can also be organized. Rooms with terrace or veranda overlooking the Mediterranean and the neighbouring islands. Each room, neatly furnished with tiled floors and wooden furniture, has a shower and bath (some rooms come with a Jacuzzi).We have over thirty years of experience in the kitchen. Sicilian dishes are prepared the way our grandmothers and grandfathers once taught us. We follow traditional Eolian recipes, enriched with the aromas from our garden and the sweet wine of Salina, the "Malvasia".When it was first opened in 1978, Mamma Santina was just a restaurant. It was only a few years later that it also became a hotel. For this, we have over thirty years of experience in the kitchen. Below are some examples of the dishes that you will find here.
